About Mandriva
Mandriva Linux is a community-based Linux distribution, suitable for a wide range of situations from typical desktop use through development and server roles up to clustering. Now this is what Mandriva tells you on its website. Not much of a teaser, I should think. Truth is, Mandriva 2008 is probably the best distro they have managed to put together so far. And so far means: in ten years! This Mandriva 2008.1 (Spring) celebrates this decade of work in progress. Happy 10th anniversary, Mandriva!
