About the image
This is the 6.10 version of Kubuntu ("Edgy Eft"), for desktop usage.
From the README file:
The image was created on a Mandriva 2007 host.
Suggested qemu invocation:
qemu kubuntu_6_10_qemu_qcow.img -m 256
(if you use less than 256 MB (or more than half your real RAM) the dreaded "the file protocol died unexpectedly" error appears again - haven't found a solution for that one yet :( ...)
Basic kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) desktop install
plus
- updated system (last done: 2007-feb-23)
- autologin of the oszoo user
- password set for root
- changed desktop background for the oszoo user
- changed login session - starts from fresh every time
- 10 GB IDE disk
